Welcome to Tamar Counselling.
 My name is Steve Merritt, and I am an integrative counsellor providing counselling in Bideford, Bude and Holsworthy. I aim to provide an effective, affordable one-to-one service.
I can offer counselling on a wide variety of issues (see What I Can Help With).
I appreciate that everyone is different, and one person may experience something differently from everyone else. I treat every client as an individual, giving you a chance to talk and be listened to. I am not there to judge you, but to help with the issues you are experiencing in a confidential and safe environment.
 Counselling is a talking therapy. As we talk about your problems I will help you to find your own solutions to the problems you are experiencing. I believe that providing a trusting, understanding and supporting relationship allows you to explore your feelings and resolve and integrate your difficulties.
An initial 30-minute assessment session is free of charge, and daytime and evening appointments are available.
